It’s a slowed down version of rugby and with a forward pass. There are more positions too (something like soccer).
6points for a touchdown
3 points for a kicked field goal
2 points for a safety (when the opponent is tackled in his own end zone)
1 point for point after touchdown (PAT) (a kick through a Y looking object called the up rights or goal posts)
1 point for a drop kick (only used twice since 1941) through the uprights, although the PAT is used the most.
2points for a conversion after the touchdown (the ball is either ran in or somebody catches the ball), which is statistically much harder to accomplish than the PAT so it is rarely done.
In short you will mainly see people scoring on field goals, touchdowns and extra points. The rulebook is fairly thick so I’m not going to go into that. You can fund the rulebook online.
